Within the last few days, I met with the District Coordinator for the Texas Division Of Emergency Management (TDEM), the City’s Emergency Management Director, and the City’s Fire Chief to discuss Hurricane preparedness. TDEM is the State agency that partners with the City for the pre and post-management of Hurricane related activities. We discussed the evacuation protocol as well as reentry policies. I have invited TDEM to present to Council at our August 27th Morning Workshop for discussion and questions.
